The Police have arrested a 17-year-old youth for his suspected involvement in two cases of Outrage of Modesty in Pasir Ris.
Two women aged 19 and 22 had alerted the Police that they were molested by a man along Pasir Ris St 53 and Pasir Ris St 51 on 8 and 10 December 2016 respectively.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTVs, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Pasir Ris Grove on 12 December 2016.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
