95 persons were arrested in Geylang for various offences during a four-day multi-agency joint operation conducted from 13 December 2016 to 17 December 2016.
The operation was led by Bedok Division and involved enforcement officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Singapore Customs (Customs), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Health Sciences Authority (HSA). The operation covered the streets and hotels located in Geylang.
The suspects, comprising 70 males and 25 females, aged between 19 and 55, were arrested for various offences such as involvement in vice activities, public gaming, drug offences, peddling of duty-unpaid cigarettes, and being members of unlawful societies.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing
