The Police have arrested two men aged between 22 and 34 for their suspected involvement in a case of Robbery with Hurt along Cuff Road.
On 28 December 2016 at about 3.28 am, Police received a report informing that a man had been assaulted and robbed. Investigations revealed that two men had assaulted and robbed the victim of his gold chain.
Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Central Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 29 December 2016 along Clementi Avenue 5.
The two suspects will be charged in Court on 30 December 2016 with the offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they face a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
