The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of Attempted Armed Robbery, at Block 406 Tampines Street 41.

 

On 12 December 2016 at about 4.51pm, a 29-year-old female victim reported to the Police that a man armed with a knife had tried to rob her at a minimart located at Blk 406 Tampines Street 41. The suspect fled when the victim shouted for help.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and investigations, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 16 January 2017.  

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 18 January 2017 with the offence of Attempted Armed Robbery under Section 393 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 7 years and shall also be punished with canning with not less than 12 strokes.
