The Police have arrested a total of 64 suspects, comprising 21 men and 43 women aged between 18 and 68, in a nine-hour anti-crime operation which ended early this morning.
Led by the Criminal Investigation Department with the support of Bedok Division, a series of coordinated raids and proactive checks were carried out at locations including public entertainment outlets, private residential units and back-alleys in the vicinity of Geylang. The suspects were arrested for various offences including gang and vice-related offences.
The Police will continue to work with other law enforcement agencies and keep up the tough enforcement action against those pre-disposed to crime and illegal activities.
