The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for unlawful departure from Singapore on 19 January 2017.
On 19 January 2017 at about 9.59pm, the Police Coast Guard (PCG) detected a floating object believed to be a swimmer at the sea off Shell Jetty, Woodlands Waterfront heading towards the Malaysia waters. Following the detection, both land and sea resources were deployed to apprehend the swimmer. At about 10.05pm, PCG officers swiftly intercepted the man and arrested him for unlawful departure from Singapore under the Immigration Act, Chapter 133.
