The Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery at Dorset Road.

 

On 17 January 2017 at about 6.33pm, two female victims reported to the Police that a man armed with a knife had robbed them of cash amounting to $3,450 and three mobile phones in an apartment located along Dorset Road. 

 

Through extensive investigations, officers from Tanglin Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Upper Paya Lebar Road on 21 January 2017.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 January 2017 with the offence of Armed Robbery under Section 392 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable to an imprisonment term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
