The Kreta Ayer Citizens’ Consultative Committee will be organising the Chinatown CNY 2017 - Countdown on Sunday, 27 January 2017.

 

To facilitate the event, the following roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic on the dates and times stipulated in the table below:

1. Extreme right lane of New Bridge Road (between Mosque Street and Temple Street)

  1. From 8.00 pm on Wednesday, 25 January 2017 to 2.00 am on Thursday, 26 January 2017; and

     

  2. from 8.00 pm on Thursday, 26 January 2017 to 5.00 pm on Friday, 27 January 2017

2. Extreme left lane of New Bridge Road (between Pagoda Street and Temple Street)

3. Temple Street

From 5.00 pm on Friday, 27 January 2017 to 3.00 am on Saturday, 28 January 2017

4. New Bridge Road (between Upper Cross Street and Kreta Ayer Road)

5. Eu Tong Sen Street (between Outram Road and Upper Cross Street)

6. Slip road leading from Outram Road into Eu Tong Sen Street

7. Keong Saik Road (between New Bridge Road and Kreta Ayer Road)

8. Smith Street

9. Extreme right lane of South Bridge Road (between Upper Cross Street and Sago Lane)

From 10.00 pm on Friday, 27 January 2017 to 1.00 am on Saturday, 28 January 2017

 

Mosque Street will be converted to a 2-way road from 5.00pm on Friday, 27 January 2017 to 3.00 am on Saturday, 28 January 2017.

 

During the road and lane closures, access will only be granted to police and emergency vehicles. 

 

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced.  Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed.
