The Police have arrested a 35-year- old woman, for her suspected involvement in a case of forgery.

 

On 24 January 2017, the Police received a report from a bank, informing that they had received a loan application from a company with supporting documents believed to be forged. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect had forged the bank transaction statement.

 

Officers from Tanglin Division conducted extensive investigations and arrested the suspect on 2 February 2017.

 

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing.

 

Any person found guilty of Forgery for the Purpose of Cheating under Section 468 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to 10 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
