The Police have arrested a 59-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of vandalism reported at Pasir Ris Park.

 

On 1 February 2017, the Police were alerted to a case of vandalism involving the removal of three Police cameras in Pasir Ris Park. Through intensive probes and extensive ground enquiries, Bedok Division officers established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 8 February 2017. 

 

Investigation against the suspect is ongoing. The offence of Vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341 carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to three years or fine up to $2,000/-, and caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.
