The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man believed to be involved in two separate cases of Outrage of Modesty.

 

Two women aged 21 and 16 reported to the Police that they were molested by an unknown man along New Upper Changi Road and Bedok North Road on 10 September 2016 and 23 February 2017 respectively.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTVs, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along New Upper Changi Road on 28 February 2017.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court with the offence of Outrage of Modesty on 2 March 2017. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
