The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for a series of theft of electronic devices.

 

On 27 February 2017, the Police received a report that three power banks valued at $205 were stolen at a bookstore along Pasir Ris Central Street 3.

 

Upon receipt of the report, officers from Bedok Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and the suspect was subsequently arrested on 2 March 2017. More than 70 electronic items ranging from power banks, smart watches, wire earpieces, and headphones amounting to about $8000 were also seized.

 

The man will be charged in Court on 4 March 2017 for the offence of Theft in Dwelling under section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years and a fine.
