The Police have arrested four men, aged between 16 and 25 for their suspected involvement in a case of Robbery with Hurt reported at a unit along Spottiswoode Park Road.

 

On 21 March 2017 at about 12.26 am, Police received a report informing that a man had been assaulted.  Investigations further revealed that the victim was assaulted by a group of men who had also taken away his mobile phone.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Central Division established the identities of the four suspects. Three of the suspects were arrested along Eu Tong Sen Street on 21 March 2017 at about 2.20 am. a The fourth suspect was arrested along French Road at 4.00 pm on the same day.

 

The four men will be charged in court on 22 March 2017 with the offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.  If convicted, they face a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
