The Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Theft from Vehicle along Race Course Road.

 

On 20 March 2017 at about 2.57pm, the Police received a report from the driver of a vehicle informing that cash amounting to S$80,000 and other items such as his wallet and name card holder were stolen from his vehicle.

 

Through extensive investigative follow-ups and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Central Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him in the vicinity of the Singapore General Hospital on 22 March 2017 at about 2.55am.

 

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. Anyone found guilty of an offence of Theft from Vehicle under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, may be punished with a jail term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
