The Police conducted an anti-vice operation on 4 April 2017 at a HDB unit located along Jalan Membina.
Officers from Central and Tanglin Division arrested 2 women aged 22 and 30 for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities. The suspects are believed to have advertised sexual services online and carried out vice activities in the rented residential unit. Subsequent investigations will also be carried out against the house owner.
Anyone who is found guilty of keeping, managing or assisting in the management of a brothel shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding S$3,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or to both and in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding S$10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.
