The Police have arrested two men, aged 17 and 25, for their suspected involvement in several cases of attempted cheating.

On 30 March 2017 at about 2.58pm, the Police received a report that two men had tried to pawn two gold bars believed to be fake. Through extensive investigative follow-ups and with the aid of CCTV evidence, officers from Central Division established the identities of the two suspects and arrested the 17-year-old man on 5 April 2017 along Race Course Road while the 25-year-old man was arrested on the same day along Holland Close.

Investigations against both suspects are ongoing. Anyone found guilty of an offence of Cheating, under Section 420 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, may be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine.
