The Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

On 2 April 2017 at 9.29pm, a 14-year-old female victim reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown man along Upper Boon Keng Road.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and aid of CCTV footages, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Chai Chee Road on 4 April 2017.

 

Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
