The Police have arrested two men, both aged 45, for their suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt along Orchard Road.

 

On 6 May 2017 at about 12.45 a.m., Police received a report informing that the victim, a 36-year-old man, had been assaulted by two men and his wallet, gold chain and mobile phone were robbed.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Tanglin Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them along Lorong 12 Geylang and Lengkok Bahru respectively on 15 May 2017.

 

The two suspects will be charged in Court on 17 May 2017 with the offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
