The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of Robbery with Hurt along Desker Road.
On 16 May 2017 at about 4.00am, the Police received a report that the victim had been assaulted and robbed of his belongings by a man.
Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Central Police Division arrested the suspect along Desker Road at around 10pm the same day.
The man will be charged in Court on 18 May 2017 with the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt in committing Robbery under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term which not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
