The Police have arrested a 32-year-old man suspected to be involved in a case of break-in at Sungei Tengah Road.

 

On 13 May 2017, the Police received a report of a break-in at a unit along Sungei Tengah Road. Four birds worth approximately $2000/- were stolen from the unit. 

 

Officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Potong Pasir Ave 1 on 17 May 2017. The stolen birds were recovered.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 19 May 2017 with the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of up to 14 years and a fine.
