The Police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery along Jurong East St 13.
On 25 May 2017 at about 11.20pm, a 40-year-old woman reported that an unknown man had robbed her of her handphone when she was walking towards a bus stop along Jurong East St 13.
Officers from Clementi Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police Cameras (POLCAMs), they established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Bedok North Ave 4 on 30 May 2017.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 1 June 2017 with the offence of Robbery under Section 392 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term of not less than 3 years old and not more than 14 years and caning of not less than 12 strokes.
