The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of Housebreaking and Theft by Night along Boat Quay.

 

On 16 June 2017 at about 1.34pm, the Police received a report that a hostel located along Boat Quay had been broken into. Cash amounting to $260 and a mobile phone were reported to be missing.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Boat Quay on 19 June 2017 at about 5.00pm.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 21 June 2017 with the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than 2 years and not more than 14 years.
