The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Housebreaking and Theft by Night.

 

On 1 July 2017 at about 11.15 am, the Police received a report of a break-in at a stall in a coffeeshop along Toh Guan Road where cash amounting to $3490 was reported missing.        

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police Cameras (POLCAM), officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him at West Mall on 2 July 2017 at about 4.00 pm. Cash amounting to $2406.90 was recovered from the suspect.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 4 July 2017 with the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than 2 years and not more than 14 years.
