The Police have arrested a 48-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

On 3 July 2017 at about 10.08am, a 32-year-old female victim informed the Police that she had been molested by a man on board a train from Tiong Bahru MRT station towards Outram MRT station. The suspect was subsequently arrested at Outram MRT station on the same day.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 4 July 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty.  If convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty punishable under Section 354 (1) of the Penal Code, the suspect may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
