Two Suspects Arrested For Unnatural Death Case At Geylang Lorong 24a

The Police have arrested two Bangladeshi men, aged 30 and 34, in connection to the death of a 41-year-old man at Geylang Lorong 24A on 9 July 2017.

 

Through investigative probes and ground enquiries, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Police Intelligence Department (PID) and Bedok Police Division established the identity of the first suspect on 9 July 2017. Working tirelessly round the clock, officers subsequently established the identity of another suspect and arrested him in an operation mounted on 10 July 2017. 

 

The first suspect, aged 34, will be charged in Court on 11 July 2017 for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt under Section 325 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for imprisonment for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine or to caning. Investigations against the other suspect are still ongoing.
