The Police have arrested three women, aged between 26 and 44 for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.

 

On 10 July 2017, officers from Jurong Police Division conducted a raid at a residential unit along Jurong West St 65, resulting in the arrest of the three women. The women allegedly made use of their temporary stay in Singapore to commit vice-related offences.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that they have been advertising their sexual services on various online platforms. Investigations are ongoing. 

 

Any person who keeps, manages or assists in the management of a brothel shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or to both and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.

 

The Police will continue to clamp down on such vice-related activities and those who engage in such activities will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
