The Police have arrested a 59-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty along Ghim Moh Road.

 

On 13 July 2017 at about 6.21 pm, a 40-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown person.

 

Through extensive enquiries, reviewing of footages from the Police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Ghim Moh Road within five hours from the time of the report.

 Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
