The Police have arrested two men aged 50 and 53, for an offence of Public Nuisance.
On 19 August 2017, the Police received reports that a few men had created a scene at a pork rib stall along Balestier road. According to eye witness accounts, the men were said to be rowdy. They allegedly toppled a bun steamer and threw cutlery at the staff.
Through follow-up investigations by officers from Tanglin Police Division, the identities of the men were established. Two men were thereafter arrested on 21 August 2017. The 53-year-old man is also being investigated for a separate offence of Rash Act. Police investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for the offence of Public Nuisance under Section 290 of the Penal Code may be punished with a fine which may extend to $1,000/-. For the offence of Rash Act, anyone convicted may be liable for imprisonment term which may extend
