The Police have arrested a 52-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft of motorcycle.
On 29 August 2017 at about 1.20pm, the Police received a report of a motorcycle being stolen from the car park of Blk 103 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. Upon receipt of the information, officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries. On 6 September 2017 at around 3.30pm, the stolen motorcycle was recovered at Lorong 1 Toa Payoh and follow-up investigations led to the arrest of the man at a neighbouring block on the same day at around 8.45pm.
The man will be charged in Court on 8 September 2017 with the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle punishable under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for a maximum jail term of seven years’ imprisonment and which shall also be liable to a fine.
