The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of robbery along Tanglin Road.

 

On 14 September 2017 at about 6.21 am, a 53-year-old woman reported to the Police that she was robbed of her iPad and wallet by a male customer at a massage parlor located in Tanglin Road.

 

Through enquiries and investigative follow-up, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him at Changi Airport on 14 September 2017 at about 11.10 pm, within 5 hours from the receipt of the report. The iPad and cash of about $200 were also recovered from his possession following the arrest.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 16 September 2017 with an offence of Robbery under Section 392 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term which may extend to not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 6 strokes.
