The Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man who are believed to be involved in a case of robbery with hurt along Geylang Lorong 14.
On 25 April 2018 at about 4.30pm, the Police received a report that a couple had demanded for money from the victim and assaulted him. They made away with the victim’s mobile phone and cash amounting to more than $400.
Officers from Central Police Division carried out investigative probes and apprehended the two suspects along Kranji Road. The victim’s mobile phone was recovered.
The suspects will be charged in the court on 27 April 2018 with robbery with hurt, punishable under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they face a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
