The Police have arrested two teenagers aged 16 and 18 for a case of snatch theft with common intention. 

On 9 May 2018 at 7.59 pm, a 42-year-old woman reported that her purse was snatched away by two teenagers at a staircase along Ghim Moh Link

Officers from Clementi Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations. The duo was subsequently arrested along Ghim Moh Road on the same day. Cash amounting to S$25.40, an iPhone 8 and a purse were recovered from them.

The two teenagers will be charged in court on 11 May 2018 with snatch theft with common intention under Section 356 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they will face a jail term of not less than one year and not more than seven years, and shall also be liable to caning.
