The Police have arrested three men, aged between 35 and 41, for their suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt reported along Hastings Road.
On 26 June 2018 at about 1.00am, the Police received a report that a man had been assaulted and robbed of his belongings. Preliminary investigations revealed that three men had allegedly assaulted the victim and took his gold chain and mobile phone
Through ground enquiries, officers from Central Police Division established the identities of the three men and arrested them along Ang Mo Kio Street 61 on the same day at about 5.00am.
The three men will be charged in the court on 27 June 2018 with robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspects face a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
