The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of snatch theft along Yishun Avenue 6.
On 24 September 2018 at about 7.30pm, a woman reported that her daughter’s hand phone was snatched by a man along Yishun Avenue 6.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigation and established the man’s identity The man was subsequently arrested along Yishun Avenue 11 on the same day at about 11.20pm. The stolen phone was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 26 September 2018 with snatch theft under Section 356 of the Penal Code, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than one year, and not more than 7 years, and shall also be liable to caning.
