The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of snatch theft.

 

On 14 October 2018 at about 2. 50am, the victim reported that an unknown man had snatched his gold chain along Sungei Road.

 

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of Police Cameras, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Maxwell Road on 15 October 2018 at about 2.15pm.

 

The man will be charged in court on 17 October 2018 with snatch theft punishable under Section 356 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than one year and not more than seven years, and shall also be liable to caning.
