The Police have arrested a 60-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery with hurt at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street.
On 20 October 2018 at about 8. 20pm, the Police received a report that an unknown man had attempted to rob an 89-year-old man at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street.
Through ground enquiries, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 22 October 2018 at about 4 am along Bedok South Ave 2.
The man will be charged in court on 23 October 2018 with armed robbery with hurt, punishable under Section 394 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
