The Police have arrested a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery at Blk 7 Marine Terrace.
On 13 November 2018 at about 5.52pm, a 35-year-old taxi-driver reported that an unknown man had robbed him at knife point, at Blk 7 Marine Terrace.
Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division and Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Lor 24 Geylang at 8.10pm on the same day. Preliminary investigations also revealed that he is involved in two other similar cases reported on the same day.
The man will be charged in court on 15 November 2018 with armed robbery, under Section 392 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he will be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
