The police have arrested a 27-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of snatch theft at 250 Sims Avenue.

On 19 November 2018 at about 7.07pm, the victim reported that an unknown man had snatched his money while he was using the Automated Teller Machine at 250 Sims Avenue.

Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigation and established the identity of the man with the aid of images from police cameras. The man was subsequently arrested along Lorong 20 Geylang on 20 November 2018 at about 10.40am.

The man will be charged in court on 22 November 2018 with snatch theft under Section 356 of the Penal Code, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than one year, and not more than 7 years, and shall also be liable to caning.
