The Police have arrested a 50-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt.
On 31 January 2019 at about 11.17 am, the Police received a report from the 38-year-old victim who informed that an unknown man had robbed him of his wallet and assaulted him at a bus stop along Aljunied Road earlier on the same day.
Through follow up investigations and the aid of police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 1 February 2019 along Westerhout Road.
The man will be charged in court on 2 February 2019 with robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 24, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
