The police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of attempted robbery.
On 5 March 2019 at about 1.40 am, the Police received a report that an unknown man had attempted to rob a 32-year-old woman while she was walking along Merbau Road.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV footages, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 16 March 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 18 March 2019 with attempted robbery under Section 393 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with an imprisonment term of not less than 2 years and not more than 7 years, and caning of not less than 6 strokes.
