The Police have arrested a 57-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of bicycles.
On 21 March 2019 at about 11.50pm, the Police received a report that a bicycle was missing from Blk 411 Bedok North Avenue 2.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day. A cutter and 10 bicycles were seized as case exhibits.
The man will be charged in court on 23 March 2019 with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or both.
