The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt.
On 6 July 2019, the Police received a report from a female victim that she was assaulted and her money was taken away by a man along Bukit Batok West Avenue 5.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.
The man will be charged in court on 8 July 2019 with the offence of robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
