The Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for suspected involvement in a case of attempted aggravated outrage of modesty.
On 14 August 2020, the Police received a report from a 21-year-old female victim who informed that an unknown man had grabbed her from the back and covered her mouth with a t-shirt at a the void deck along Bukit Batok West Avenue 4.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV and police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 15 August 2020.
The man will be charged in court on 17 August 2020 with attempted aggravated outrage of modesty under section 354A (1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term of up to 10 years, with caning.
