The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt.

On 25 September 2020 at about 2.25pm, the Police received a report that a 75-year-old male victim had been assaulted and robbed by an unknown man along Owen Road. Jewellery and a mobile phone belonging to the victim were alleged taken.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV footage, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Hougang Avenue 1 on 26 September 2020.

The man will be charged in court on 28 September 2020 with robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
