The Police have arrested a 59-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt.

On 20 March 2021 at about 2.18pm, the Police received a report from a victim who alleged that he had been assaulted and robbed of $210 in cash by an unknown man along Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the 59-year-old man and arrested him within four hours of the report.

The man will be charged in court on 22 March 2021 with robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
