There will be a change of command at Jurong Police Division.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Tan Jin Rui Jerald (陈劲瑞) will assume the command of Jurong Police Division on 29 August 2022. AC Tan will take over from AC Shee Tek Tze (徐德志), who will assume the appointment of Deputy Director (Financial Investigation Group) of the Commercial Affairs Department on the same day.
AC Tan, 36, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 2005. He has served 17 years with the SPF and has held several key appointments including Deputy Commander of Bedok Police Division, Senior Assistant Director (Policy) of the SG Secure Programme Office in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Head Operations and Training of Tanglin Police Division and Commanding Officer of Hougang Neighbourhood Police Centre.
AC Shee, 47, who was appointed Commander of Jurong Police Division on 15 October 2020, joined the SPF in 2001. In his 21 years with the SPF, he has held several key appointments, including Assistant Director of the Major Crime Division in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Deputy Director (Major Operations) in the Joint Operations Management Directorate, Joint Operations Group of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Head of the Special Investigation Section, Major Crime Division in CID.
As Commander of Jurong Police Division, AC Shee led his officers to solve several high-profile cases, such as the arrest of an armed robber at a moneylender in Bukit Batok in July 2021 and the arrest of six men for a case of robbery at Jurong Point in January 2022. AC Shee also oversaw and rolled out various crime prevention campaigns with commercial entities to disseminate crime prevention messages on various platforms to prevent crime and combat scams.
Reflecting on his tenure as Commander of Jurong Police Division, AC Shee said, “It is an honour to have served alongside the officers of Jurong Police Division, including our Volunteer Special Constabulary Officers and Police National Servicemen. I am grateful for their devotion to duty and professional commitment to keeping the neighbourhoods safe and secure. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to our community stakeholders and partners for strongly supporting the Police’s mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.”
