President Tharman Shanmugaratnam confers the Distinguished Service Order on Tan Sri Razarudin Bin Husain, Inspector-General of Police of the Royal Malaysia Police ▲
Tan Sri Razarudin Bin Husain, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of the Royal Malaysia Police, was conferred the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Distinguished Service Order) by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on 11 June 2025 at the Istana.
IGP Tan Sri Razarudin was appointed Inspector-General of Police of Royal Malaysia Police on 23 June 2023. Under his leadership, the bilateral relationship between the Royal Malaysia Police and the Singapore Police Force was strengthened, underpinned by close cooperation in the areas of investigation, intelligence exchanges as well as capability building and training. IGP Tan Sri Razarudin emphasised the importance of close operational coordination between the two Police forces which helped combat transnational crime, drug trafficking and terrorism.
This close cooperation reflects IGP Tan Sri Razarudin’s strong commitment in building bilateral ties between Malaysia and Singapore and in turn, enhancing the safety and security of both nations.
“The Singapore Police Force deeply values our longstanding and steadfast partnership with the Royal Malaysia Police. This close cooperation has strengthened our response to evolving cross-border challenges. We will continue to work closely with the Royal Malaysia Police to combat transnational crime as well as enhance joint operational effectiveness.”, said Acting Commissioner of Police Lian Ghim Hua.
During his stay in Singapore, IGP Tan Sri Razarudin made courtesy calls on Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Acting Commissioner of Police Lian Ghim Hua.
