Man Arrested For A Series Of Outrage Of Modesty Cases

The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of outrage of modesty cases.

On 6 July 2025, the Police received a report that an unknown man had allegedly molested a woman along Lorong Marzuki.

Preliminary findings from subsequent police reports lodged by other female victims revealed that the same man could possibly be involved in two other cases of outrage of modesty on 12 July 2025 along Lorong 8 Toa Payoh and on 13 July 2025 along Tanjung Rhu Road.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 21 July 2025.

The man will be charged in court on 22 July 2025 for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.

The Police have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community, and offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law. The Police would also like to urge members of the public to remain vigilant and to report the matter to the Police immediately, if they witness an incident molestation or are aware of someone being a victim of molestation.
