Police have arrested a 62-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of shoptheft from Cold Storage supermarket at Jurong Gateway.
On 30 January 2015, Police were alerted to a case of shoptheft where four cans of abalone worth $190.68/- were stolen. With the aid of CCTV footages, officers from the Crime Strike Force (CSF) of Jurong East Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested the man at Jurong East on 3 February 2015 at about 5.20 pm.
The 62-year-old man will be charged in Court on 4 February 2015 for the offence of Shop Theft under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries a maximum jail term of seven years’ imprisonment, or fine, or both.
