The Police have arrested a 67-years-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of bicycles.
On 10 December 2019 at about 10.25 pm, Police were alerted to a case of theft of bicycle at Blk 432 Tampines Street 41.
Through investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 6 January 2020. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is also believed to be involved in other cases of theft of bicycles in Tampines.
The man will be charged in court on 7 January 2020 with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code. The offence of theft carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
